Ryan Wallis

Deputy Manager, Phenotypic Screening Facility

Blizard Institute, Queen Mary University of London (QMUL)

I support academic and industry collaborators across a range of advanced screening and spatial biology platforms. My role bridges the fields of multiplexed imaging, high-content screening, and computational analysis.

Technologies & Platforms

  • Multiplexed spatial imaging: Cell DIVE, Phenocycler Fusion
  • Automation and robotics: Leica BOND RX, BAB200, PAA plate handlers
  • High-throughput microscopy: INCA 2200 & 6000
  • Liquid handling: Cybio Felix, Thermo MultiDrop
  • Digital pathology and image analysis: HALO, Developer Toolbox, INCarta, QuPath

Bioinformatics & Data Science

  • Spatial biology: cell phenotyping, neighbourhood mapping, proximity metrics
  • Machine learning: applied to high-content screening & drug discovery
  • AI applications: cancer prognosis, morphological profiling
  • Spatial transcriptomics: incl. 10x Genomics VisiumHD
  • Training & outreach: R-based workshops for non-coders
